Theme 1: Utilize all technology, don't shut down creativity by denying students. This course utilized a variety of free technology and proved that there are many options available and we should let the students utilize what they want to experiment with. There does not have to be a cookie cutter approach to learning.
Theme 3: Professional development for teachers needs to be continuous and offered in variety to allow for teachers to find comfort with technology and also learn it is okay to not know everything. Again, I felt the idea of variety is essential. We learned many different formats for presenting and also learned different techniques from each other. This was an example of how it is okay to try different things and let people have options.

LT 791 Multimedia Production
Multimedia Production was another good class to take in the beginning of my adventure to my masters. It was a hands on class, and I enjoyed creating and stepping out of my comfort zone. Publishing a video to you tube was scary back then. I did not want everyone seeing what I was working on. I enjoyed that while taking the class, I was able to create a project that would be helpful to myself and my students that I was currently working with. The practical application was a nice addition. The class was a good overview of the different media available for free and at a cost. Incorporation of many formats and styles was a good variety to pick what was appropriate for different projects. I now let my students pick what they want to use as a presentation tool. If I don't know the tool, that is great, the students teach me.
